Creating childhood memories

Hi, I am Kathryn Morgan.  Together with my husband, we are  family business with a background in design, publishing, hospitality, retail and the service industry.

We pride ourselves on quality and service.  We love childrens parties, for us it is about creating wonderful memories for your family and sharing our beautiful ponies and country property.

Inspired by Nature we love seeing guests, especially children, spending time here and enjoying the countryside.

After holding many creative and unique parties for our son's, we were encouraged by our family and friends to combine two of passions ponies and parties. After seven years of hosting parties, it still melts my heart.

I have been blessed to be able to have my own horses and ponies for the last 39 years.  In my earlier years I competed in many disciplines. 

I coach a number of young riders, some who have been under my instruction for many years.  We are now hitting the Show Circuits and have started off with great success. I teach children, to inspire them to become Empathetic, Balanced Riders in the hope that the ripple effect of empathy continues.

I am a Healing Practitioner in Advanced Theta Healing, Reiki Master, Clendinning and a Heal Mother Earth Instructor.   Healing horses and seeing the emotional change within them, the difference in their well being and how thankful they are once they are understood is a blessing and something I am truly passionate about. 

Other passions include Meditation,Gardening, Trees, Natural Animal Well-being and Wildlife. 

The Ponies

The ponies are the perfect size for children 2 to 10 years.  The ponies stand between 10hh and 13.2hh.

Our eight ponies are safe, well-handled and voice command trained.  The ponies are well turned out for every party. Their saddlery is clean and polished.

The ponies are very much loved and part of the family.  In the past they regularly went to Pony Club and competitions and are true Schoolmasters. You will see many of the prizes they have won in the Barn.  They regularly participate in lessons, Pony Play Group, Parties and Holiday Programmes.  They enjoy the benefits of our Horse Healing Clinics. 

The Property

Located close to the city but totally rural, just out of Hamilton on the west side, Waikato, New Zealand. (10 mins drive to Hamilton CBD) Purchased in 1993 it was part of the Matthew's Family Estate now known as Stonebridge Country Estate.
Glorious views over neighboring Stonebridge of the 100 year old English Trees and of Hereford grazing are enjoyed from the barn.  A woodlands style garden surrounds the house with Japanese Cherries, Dogwoods, Magnolias, Maples and under planted with Camellias, Hydrangeas, masses of Hellebores, Daylilies and Violets.  Originally created with our children in mind with areas for them to explore and relax, there is something flowering for every season which is great for supplying the Barn with flowers.
Over the last ten years a planting plan has been undertaken in the paddocks.  English and American specimans have been chosen for Autumn colour and rare Fir Trees for evergreens.  We continue to plant Native and food source trees for Tui and have planted a large area of Native Trees which are providing protection for wildlife.
On any given day you may see Pukeko, Tui, Pheasant, Hare, Kahu (Harrier) circling.
